Martial Arts

Sensei Josh, has a weekly class where he teaches our participants. He has 35 years teaching experience and 40 years of training experience in martial arts. Josh has an extensive history of training and teaching along with tournaments and awards including being inducted to the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame as "Male Fighter of the Year" when he was 16! He had his own martial arts school in New York and has experience teaching different ages of special needs or disabled people with success. During classes the focus will be on

  • Physical attributes including stretching to gain flexibility, muscle and cardiac strengthening

  • Improving motor skills, balance, and hand-eye coordination

  • Improving attention to detail (focus) and self-awareness

  • Building confidence and self-esteem

  • Learning to work as a single unit or as a team, as well as the gratification of helping/assisting others

  • Self-defense

  • Stressing the importance of Integrity, Respect, Discipline, Self-discipline, and Loyalty.
